Few years back if anyone would call me for buying fruits…..I would say Sorry and not to bother me….today I love shopping for fruits and other food items and in Dubai I never miss an opportunity to go to Spinneys as I get to know and buy many new fruits and used to miss them when I used to be in Chennai for holidays….few days back I got fresh anjeer from a fruit shop and felt nice as all exotic fruits are now easily available in Chennai ….

I made this lassi with a double mind if kids would like it for two reasons they have eaten anjeer but never had lassi made of it plus both my kids were unwell but when they had a sip ,questions started pouring ……mom,this is good….very different ….what did u put in this lassi ?? For me it was mission accomplished as my purpose is to make my kids enjoy food like I do…….

Ingredients

  • Fresh figs or Anjeer – 1/2 cup chopped ( de skin and chop )
  • Curd – 1/2 cup
  • Ice cubes – as required
  • Sugar – 2 tbsp or more

Directions

  1. In the blender add all the ingredients and grind for 2 minutes
  2. Serve chilled

Note : you can dry anjeer , soak 1/2 cup it in warm water for 1 hour and use with skin
If there are small chunks of anjeer in lassi , it’s ok .Adds extra flavour to the lassi
