Creamy Chicken Corn Spinach Pasta

Vegetarians can omit chicken and proceed with the recipe

I had bought tri coloured pasta for making salad and each time I was opening my cup board these pastas were screaming at me that I need to make something different with them and when Haseeb told me that he has invited Anees Deedi to come for lunch , I decided to make new kababs using mince meat and chicken( got to make them soon ) thats when Haseeb told that Deedi will be getting cutlets so not to make kababs ….that’s when I remembered about these pasta and decided to make them and within minutes it was ready

When I made this pasta , I knew kids will love it but to my surprise my mom in law loved the pasta and said it tasted awesome…. It was nice to see elders enjoy new dishes as I always felt that it’s difficult to convince elders eat new kind of food, plus cool way to introduce spinach to kids


  • Boiled Pasta – 1 cup
  • Olive oil or butter – 1 tbsp
  • Finely chopped Garlic – 1 tsp
  • All purpose flour or maida – 2 tbsp
  • Milk – 1 1/2 cup
  • Chopped spinach – 1 cup
  • Tinned or boiled corn – 1/2 cup
  • Boiled chicken – 1/4 cup ( optional )
  • Black pepper powder – ½ tsp
  • Red chilly flakes – 3/4 tsp
  • Mixed herbs – 1 tsp
  • Fresh cream – 1/4 cup
  • Salt to taste


  1. In a deep bottom pan add butter then add chopped garlic , sauté for a minute then add all purpose flour and roast for 2 minutes or till the raw smell goes , then remove from fire , cool it then add milk and put back on flame
  2. Cook for few minutes , once the sauce gets thick add chopped spinach , boiled chicken and corn .Cook for 5 minutes ,add mixed herbs , salt , chili flakes , pepper powder and cream .
  3. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes , if the sauce is thick add little more milk or water ,then add pasta and cook for another few minutes and serve hot

    I took 20 minutes to make the pasta ( boiling time of pasta is not included )
